Each design is handcrafted individually using traditional silversmithing techniques. That means that each piece is fabricated out of sheet metal or wire. Perimeters are cut out by hand with a jeweler’s saw. Edges are rounded and smoothed by files and sandpaper, forms are created by hammering, and connections are made by soldering with an acetylene torch. Some of her fabricated originals or certain components are molded and cast to cut down on physical labor but that still comes with a lot of hand finishing work. She polishes each piece by hand using a series of polishing wheels and adds a patina to the surface of the metal with a liquid solution. While her chain and clasps are manufactured, she measures and cuts each chain off of a spool and hand assembles each necklace. That's why a lot of her necklace designs are adjustable!
