Owner Nelda Zilis brings the inspired work of accomplished local and regional fine artists, eclectic everyday items made by local craftspeople, boutique clothing and the best handcrafted goods together.
Nelda Zilis holds a Masters Degree in architecture, as well as an undergraduate degree in business. Prior to Studying architecture and design she had built up a background in business and retail.
Originally from Lithuania, Nelda comes from a long line of textile artisans and has a love of good design in all disciplines. After visiting the Gallatin Valley in 1988, she made it her mission to live in Montana. Nelda has been a resident of Bozeman since 1997.
Why the name Cello?
“A Cello is timeless and as relevant today as it was centuries ago. It evokes feelings of ‘sublime’. I love the instrument, love to play and listen to it – it has the closest resonance to the human voice.”
